Madrid Bluegrass Festival

Welcome to the Bluegrass Ramble.

SPECIAL NOTICE: The traditional starting line has been moved due to water plant contruction. Race registration and start and finish will be at the Madrid Library. The Library is across from the Fire Station on Church Street in Madrid on the other side of the river from the Festival Grounds

Set in the countryside surrounding the Northern New York hamlet of Madrid the Madrid Bluegrass Ramble provides the runners with a beautiful rural atmosphere featuring a mostly flat course with some gently rolling hills.

In addition to the terrific course, with mile markers, water stations and medical personnel, the post race festivities on the bank of the Grasse River, including refreshments, door prizes and awards combine to make this a North Country event which runners come back for again and again.

Plan to stay after the race to relax, recover and take in the great music, on the stage and in the campground jam sessions.

Saturday June 26, 2010
Starting Line: Hepburn Library, Downtown Madrid
7:00am to 7:50am- Packet pick-up and race day registration
8:00am- ½ Marathon Starts
8:30am- 5k and 10k Starts
Dusk- Fireworks at the Madrid Bluegrass Festival grounds
