The second Canton Bicycle Club Duathlon was held on July 19, 2005, at the Canton Central Schools. A great, warm, breezy summer night greeted the enthusiastic crew who completed this duathlon. New participants joined returning eventers for a great outing!
Overall event winners were, as follows: Men: Ethan Townsend 47:05; Women: Jenny Townsend 48:56; Team: Eric Bollt and Pete Cutler 40:05.

The CBC sponsors the final summer duathlon on August 16, 2005 at the Canton Central Schools. T-shirts awarded at that event.
Upcoming is the return of the terrific “Higley Century,” on
September 17, 2005, a community event which promises to be challenging and fun
for all who can participate. Premier rides include both metric century (100km)
and full century (100mile) rides. The Higley Century is sponsored by the
Friends of Higley Flow State Park, and all ride-tours will start at the Park in
The Club’s Sunday tour rides also will continue, weather
permitting, throughout July and August from the NBT Bank parking lot in
