Summer Sunset #3 August 13, 2019 Conditions: Dry, 70 degrees F The August 5k race was a fast one, with season best times in the men's and women's contests. Evan Page was the first finisher with a time of 16:32, edging out Jon French in16:35. Matthew Wilber placed third in16:48. The first woman was Leah Livernois with a time of 19:30. A time of 20:14 earned Erika Abrantes second place; she was followed by Dana Hattan in 20:18. There was a tie for first place in the mile race between Ryan Jones and Ethan Francey, who crossed with a time of 6:50. The third place finisher was Jackson-Pual Cosers with a time of 8:00. Race founder David Howison made the trip from North Carolina to take part in this legacy community event and ran for a spot on the leaderboard. Dates for the 2020 Frozen Foote Series will be December 14, 2019, and January 11, February 8 and March 14th, 2020. Registration for 4 mile Frozen Foote races will take place starting at 9:30 am in the lobby of Newell Field House. Please park in J-lot or in the parking lot behind Newell Field House. Race start time is 10:30. The start line, usually located in front of Appleton Arena, may be subject to change. Mark your calendars for the 2020 Summer Sunset Series.
